Branding

The new Slurm branding was launched at the Slurm user group meeting in Barcelona on 9 October 2012. Important elements of the new branding include:

  1. name
  2. color
  3. font
  4. logo

Name

Slurm used to stand for “Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management”, but that does no longer do justice to the advanced workload manager that Slurm is today.

The new full name of Slurm is:

Slurm Workload Manager

i.e. lower case but with initial capitals.

The new short name of Slurm is:

Slurm

i.e. lower case but with an initial capital.

Color

The new Slurm primary color is orange:

  • HEX: #ff9900
  • RGB: 255,153,0
  • HSL: 25,255,128

Font

The font used for the new Slurm logo is:

Board of Directors

Logo

There are two versions of the new Slurm logo:

  1. with black text, for use on light backgrounds
  2. with white text, for use on dark backgrounds

Both versions may be used with or without the text “workload manager” underneath.

Both versions are available for download in EPS, EMF and PNG format. Always use the EPS or EMF formats for print. Use the PNG format for online use.
